The open spaces are presented as a calm homogeneous area, which integrates the different architectural styles.
Large slabs structure the area and convey the quality of the public and semi-public space.
The visitor is animated by shimmering light to walk from “Gänsemarkt” through the patio of the new building to the water feature at the new “Dragonastall-Platz”. A coating of bright red glass granules form a “red carpet” for the entrance to the music hall.
The development of the Unilever House and the new building is enhanced by a gentle shiny coating and so creating a prestigious address.
To the south east of the high rise building is a high quality space, which breaks through the previous barriers and by the use of steps and low green elements which create a spacious atmosphere. The view of the site from the corner Caffamacherreihe/Dammtorwall is characterised by a gently rising site, bizarre pine trees and light columns.
