In the Nienberge district of Münster an increasing population necessitates the allocation of additional building land. The concept of this urban development was inspired by settlements with small roads. The entire district is characterised by the central green corridor along the Hunnebecke. Shallow water, still water areas and meandering water provide an ecological and high quality stretch of water.

A playground is located close to the riverside park. Clearly marked paths lead through the park. Special highlights are two bridges with Corten steel parapets connecting the river banks. Inset safety glass panels have been used to create transparency for children and wheelchair users.
