In an international competition five teams were invited to submit solutions for the Olympic velodrom in Peking.
The surrounding landscape was exemplary for the design: the gentle shapes of the mountains were reflected in a 600m long seat thus forming a zonation between natural and representative Areas.
The visitor is lead to the forecourt along wooden walkways over undulating lawns and a large water pool. The planted roof is a continuation of the surrounding nature representing elements of the Chinese garden in a modern form.
